PET(G) is a recently introduced plastic which is glass clear, even in heavy sections. Initially introduced as a packaging material, particularly for medical devices, PET can be sterilised using either ethylene oxide or gamma radiation.
High rigidity, impact strength, food compatability, easy processing and thermoforming make PET a suitable candidate for many shop fitting and display applications.
Sheets do not require pre-drying before heat forming and forming time cycles are much shorter than for other thermoplastics of the same thickness.
